The Teachers/Trainers

Trainers are volunteers in the business and professional community, teaching from an experienced-based approach.
A variety of trainers are used to provide diversity in training, and expertise in one's field. | The basics of setting up and running a small business are taught during a 13-week, 50-hour training course, which meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Participants complete a business plan workbook which will serve as a blueprint for their business.
Course is affordable for low-income individuals: sliding scale fee based on income.
The curriculum has been used successfully in other ASSETS programs, and is also tailored to the unique skills of individual presenters. | |
